Why This Exists
DOC's tracks and huts website is hard to navigate if you're just trying to plan a weekend away. I built this to make it easy to see which huts you can actually get to from a road end in a weekend, including something a bit off the beaten track of the usual popular overnights in your area.
How It's Built
Built on DOC's public data, pieced together into a data pipeline that works out real segment-level walking times and trip plans, on a React/TypeScript/Vite frontend.
